Harriette Jones wins January NAF award

THE first British Showjumping NAF Shining Star Award of 2013 has been given to eight-year-old Harriette Jones from Reading.

Harriette is a determined and enthusiastic Junior Academy member and she has been awarded the NAF Shining Star for January 2013 because of the improvement that she has shown during her time as a member of the British Showjumping Berkshire Junior Academy.

Paul Crago, lead coach for the Berkshire Junior Academy, nominated Harriette for the NAF Shining Star Award, said: "Harriette has always had a determination and a love for showjumping. In the 10 weeks between October to December 2012, Harriette won £231 on board her nine-year-old blue roan pony, Pondhead Dexter, known as Alfie at home. Harriette took Alfie from a JD to JC and she also clocked up qualifications for Springboard, the Blue Chip Pony Novice and the Pony British novice second rounds."
