Renowned experts from The Donkey Sanctuary in Devon will be hosting a free donkey care course for experienced, new and prospective donkey owners at the Cabin Equestrian Centre in Inverurie on Tuesday, March 6.
The course, called ‘Why Does My Donkey…?’, aims to provide solutions to any donkey behaviour issues that an owner might have. It will cover all areas of donkey care from basic ownership advice up to more advanced behavioural problems.
Donkey care training manager Ben Hart explains: “This course has been put together to help donkey owners and those thinking about getting donkeys to understand the reasons why their donkey acts the way it does. From donkeys that spook to those who refuse to be caught or have their feet picked up, we have decades of expertise in donkey behaviour and can offer simple advice and techniques to help even the most problematic donkeys.”
Ben Hart is the author of acclaimed book ‘The Art and Science of Clicker Training for Horses – a positive approach to training equines and understanding them’, and will be sharing his expertise on donkey behaviour and training techniques.
To reserve a place on this free course, phone The Donkey Sanctuary on 01395 578222 or email welfare@thedonkeysanctuary.com

After a couple of recent visits to Musselburgh racecourse, I am of the view that it is a worthy contender for a racecourse of the year award.
