FEI TV launches dedicated download service offering latest event highlights plus range of training and documentary videos.
The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) has launched a new download section to their official video website, FEI TV (www.feitv.org), developed in close cooperation with UK based equestrian programme makers, MBPtv.
This new service allows the international equestrian community to download high quality video directly onto their computers, enabling them to watch what they want, when they want it. The download section offers ‘pay as you go’ access to content in four categories making it easy to find competition highlights, documentaries and entertainment, training or videos for young riders/grassroots.
The competition category offers highlights of the top level of equestrian sport and users will find entire programmes covering the FEI’s flagship events and series. You can relive some of the groundbreaking performances from the 2009 FEI European dressage champions, Eduard Gal and Moorlands Totilas or refresh your memory with some golden moments from the FEI World Cups™ or the FEI World Equestrian Games™.
The training category is designed to provide riders and coaches of all levels with relevant video footage produced to support the improvement of their riding skills. Top level riders such as Richard Davison, Andrew Hoy and Tim Stockdale share their expertise and carefully lead their audience step by step through their lessons.
The documentary and entertainment category delivers international productions featuring the fascination of horses and equestrian sport. Behind the scenes documentaries such as ‘Mary King at Badminton’ provide a thrilling inside view while ‘Dancing with Bonfire’ epitomises the stunning aesthetics of dressage.
The young rider/grassroots category is dedicated to providing the next generation of riders with the confidence to familiarise themselves with horses and equestrian sport. Among the videos available in this section, the ‘Pony Club Stable Management Series’ takes the younger audience through the basics of responsibilities when dealing with a horse.
The content portfolio of www.feitv.org and its download section will be constantly updated, thus developing the popular platform into one of the leading online equestrian video outlets. Downloads cost from Euro 0.79,-. Visit www.feitv.org for instant access to the latest videos.
MBPtv are the official internet and TV video production partner of the FEI and Jamie Hawksfield, director of MBPtv, the voice behind many of the programmes, comments: “The internet allows to communicate with the equestrian community world wide and the new download service is an exciting development for www.feitv.org. It provides unprecedented access to the very latest high quality equestrian programming so that users can get the content they want, when they want it”.
Most of the FEI highlights programmes, documentary, training and young rider programmes are also available to purchase on DVD from MBPtv’s sister company, Equestrian Vision (www.equestrianvision.co.uk).

After a couple of recent visits to Musselburgh racecourse, I am of the view that it is a worthy contender for a racecourse of the year award.
