The Scottish Agriculture Awards have been recognised in Westminster by Richard Thomson MP.
The SNP politician, who represents the Gordon constituency lodged an Early Day Motion (EDM) in the House of Commons, welcoming the inaugural awards ceremony which took place last year, organised by The Scottish Farmer, AgriScot, and the Royal Highland & Agricultural Society of Scotland.
Mr Thomson paid tribute to “the critical role that Scottish agriculture plays in food supply both within Scotland and beyond” and noted the sector is “renowned for quality produce” in the motion which has already attracted a number of supporting signatures.
The EDM also acknowledges the success of Savock Farms in Aberdeenshire who secured the Arable Farm of the Year award.
It is never too early to get involved in the 2024 Scottish Agriculture Awards, which last year attracted a field of strong nominations.
