LANARK RIDING Club are holding an Equine Expo Day tomorrow (Saturday, June 18) at Mid Drumloch Farm, Strathaven.
Everyone who has a horse that wear shoes will at some time or another be fustrated when with they bring their horse in from the field to discover that they’ve pulled a shoe off.
This week the term master farrier became a trademark and can now only be used by associates and fellows of the Worshipful Company of Farriers (WCF).
Sixty farriers from 15 nations battled it out in a fierce competition at the European Farrier Championships held in Bordeaux (February 5-7 2010).
After a couple of recent visits to Musselburgh racecourse, I am of the view that it is a worthy contender for a racecourse of the year award. MELANIE SCOTT
