ast Saturday saw teams from across the globe descend on Germany for the Hagen junior Nations Cup.
The Tretorn International junior Nations Cup team showed off their skill by taking first place on a total score of 18. First to go was 16-year-old Pippa Allen from Stockton-On-Tees, Cleveland riding her father’s nine-year-old bay gelding Bonfire III. The pair did not get off to the best of starts as they finished their first round on a score of 10. However they rallied, completing round two with just four faults, finishing on a total score of 14.
Second to represent Great Britain was 15-year-old Graham Gillespie from Alexandria, Dunbartonshire riding Beth Gillespie’s nine-year-old bay stallion USA Today. They produced two great rounds but had an unlucky time fault in each round completing on a total score of 2.
Next to go was 18-year-old George Whitaker from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire riding Sally McSharry’s 10-year-old chestnut mare Tubana. The pair jumped a superb faultless first round but unfortunately had 2 fences down in the second round giving them a total score of 8.
Last to jump for Great Britain was 18-year-old Jessie Drea from Horsham, West Sussex. Jessie riding Dermot O’Rourke’s 10-year-old chestnut mare Baloufina had an unlucky 4 faults in the first round and retired from the second round.
