Timothy Wilks from Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire made the long trip to Ingliston Equestrian Centre, Renfrewshire, a worthwhile one when he won the John Whitaker International Winter JA Classic qualifier with his mother Caroline Wilks’ The Colour of Money, one of only two ponies to jump three clear rounds.

Having previously qualified at the Hand the qualifications on this occasion went to Emily Roe from Hykeham near Lincoln riding Simon Roe’s Aroldo who finished second clear in 45.14 seconds and to Charlotte Jose from Braintree, Essex riding Maxine Jose’s Cappagh Supreme who finished third with four faults in 37.46.
