Three young riders who qualified at Royal Leisure Equestrian Centre for the British Showjumping, British Riding Club and Pony Club Team competition at the British Open Championships last week won the final by a whisker with help from their mentor Tina Fletcher.
In second place were the team from Rowallan in Scotland and mentored by Robert Whitaker and in third the Stainsby Grange team mentored by an excited Ellen Whitaker who jumped every fence from the ringside as her team went round.
All three teams finished on a score of four faults after two rounds and time became the deciding factor with Jodie Hall-McAteer, Millie Howell and Emily Bell finishing in 29.40 seconds

After a couple of recent visits to Musselburgh racecourse, I am of the view that it is a worthy contender for a racecourse of the year award.
