Jonathan Egmore from Diss, Norfolk took the first qualifying ticket in the KBIS British novice regional final, held at The Jays, Suffolk, riding Michael Wade’s seven-year-old, 16.1hh bay gelding Temple Hardy.
Last to go in the second, and final, jump off Jonathan knew what had to be done and shaved over a second off the time of his nearest rival. The second qualifying ticket went to Michaela Russell from Finchingfield, near Braintree, Essex riding her own 16.1hh, six-year-old grey mare Zula Maeva who completed their third clear round in 41.88 seconds. Third place went to 19-year-old Zoe Adams riding her own Ridgeway Four Leaf Clover completing in 42.89 seconds and fourth with the only other clear in the second jump off went to Emily Hilton riding Assy Sina.
