John Whitaker, from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, will ride Rebecca Stones’ 13-year-old bay stallion, Peppermill. This will be the pairing’s third team appearance so far this year, having jumped clear rounds in both Rome and St Gallen, as well as finishing in second place in the 200,000€ Rome grand prix.
Peter Charles, from Alton in Hampshire, will partner Olga White’s 11-year-old bay gelding, Murka’s Pom d’Ami. This combination have featured on all three British teams in each round of the 2010 Meydan FEI Nations Cup series so far, producing three foot perfect clear rounds including a double clear in round 1 in La Baule.
David McPherson, from Maidstone in Kent, with his own nine year-old grey gelding Chamberlain Z. A relatively new ride for David who have achieved tremendous success in Europe already this year with several grand prix placings. Rotterdam will be this combination’s British Nations Cup debut.
Scotland’s Scott Brash, from Peebles, with the 11-year-old bay gelding Intertoy Z, owned by Scott’s father Stanley Brash. This combination will be looking to emulate their Meydan FEI Nations Cup debut in Round 1 in La Baule, where they jumped a perfect second round clear.
Gemma Paternoster, from Elstead in Surrey, with her own 14-year-old bay gelding Osiris. The 2006 European young rider champions will be making their Meydan FEI Nations Cup debut in Rotterdam, having previously represented their country at four star level. Gemma and Osiris were recently part of the victorious British Nations Cup team in Linz, Austria.
