Highland pony champion at the Forfar Foal Show was Heather Gow’s yearling, Westray Alltanacailleach (Donald of Shielhill / Kilda of Achnacarry).
For reserve, Sandy Baird chose Sandie and Robert Kidd’s two year old gelding, Burnside Vorlich (Moss-side Ian Mor / Burnside Quintesssa) which had won at the Black Isle, Perth and Aberdeen.
Susan Skea and Anne Groat showed the foal champion, their colt Maronwells Majestic (Darrochdene / Maronwells Cara) at his first show. Marguerite Osborne’s Phosa Na Dailach (Glenmazeran Na Dailach / Charmian Na Dailach) was reserve.
John and Brenda Laing’s two year old colt, Eynhallow Black Magic (Harviestoun Precocious / Clashandorran Beauty) followed up his overall Shetland pony success at Stirling by being supreme Shetland pony. Janet Murray’s two year old filly, Mawcarse Elisha (Warrackston Scalon / Mawcarse Elsa) was chosen by Wendy Mouser as reserve.
Elisha had been reserve overall novice champion at the Central Scotland Group Show.
C Brown and Sons showed the champion foal, their black colt Kinness Masterclass (Wells Premier/ KInness Verity) was having his first outing. Jim and Graeme Wilson’s coloured, Myreton Lady Dolly, (Flick of Annandale / Northwells Golden Dando) was reserve foal.
C Brown and Sons’ Kinness Sir William (Wells Premier / Kinness Stella) was the top yearling. The winning miniature was Ken and Anne Scott’s Romany Solomon (Romany Kinsman / Romany Kismet), which had also won at the NPS Scotland Youngstock Show.
