Musselburgh goes ahead

AFTER A precautionary inspection at Musselburgh this morning racing goes ahead today.

Jason Maguire is looking forward to riding Peddlers Cross in the Howies Restaurants Edinburgh Hurdle. The Donald McCain-trained gelding faces only three rivals in the 2m 6f contest including stable Ubaltique.

Maguire said: "We're not sure about a Cheltenham target yet but maybe we will after Wednesday. He's grand after coming second in that Kempton bumper and it's good of the course to put on a race like this."

The doors open at 12 noon, with the first race starting at 1.10pm.
