With heavy snow around much of Britain the organisers are hopeful that there will be a good entry from trainers.
In addition racegoers will be given free entry.
Ayr's clerk of the course Emma Marley, commented: "With racing caught in the grip of the snow which has swept the rest of the country we are delighted to be in a position to stage an additional fixture.
"Because of the short notice involved we have decided to offer free entry to everyone and hopefully this will attract a decent crowd."
The gates open at 11:35am, the first race is at 1:35pm.
